    Pig ignorant americans

Has it really come down to this?

do i really have to explain to you the economics of boxing?

    America = HBO + Showtime

American fighters get more chance of going on the networks.

mexican and puerto rican fighters live close to USA so they go on the channels too. 'Euro fighters' would have to travel thousands of miles every fight just to get on the channel when they can earn money in their own country and not lose the home ground advantage, some have families you douches.

so basically American fighters have better exposure and more money behind them therefore their resumes should be better than fighters who arent given the same backround. how do you expect a frenchman to get enough money to fight a top name? Boxers have to pay the mortgage too dumbasses.

as for the skill level of these 'euro bums' you only have to look at the heavyweight divison, the biggest division of them all.

Hopkins has never fought in Britain, he is bum who needs to stop fighting in his own backyard.

Jones has never fought in Britain, he is bum who needs to stop fighting in his own backyard.

      Hatton has fought in America.

      Joe has fought in America.

Do Americans get more exposure in AMERICA, of course. But you better be good or you will be found out quick and they will turn. ****, it's the one thing I have to say about the Euros, they cheered Hatton after he was KFTO...that doesn't happen here. They are more loyal to their fighters on some degree.

HW divsion SUCKS. Vitali is the best of the lot, Wlad is OK, but the rest are not worthy of my time. Although, I'll give Haye a chance. Lennox was the last great King.

There are some good Euros though in other weight divsions. I would actually like to see Sturm fight Pavlik as well as Abraham.

Please, stop bitching if the Euro people don't like boxing as much as the Americans or at least don't want to shell out the money for it.

Even MMA fighters from around the World are making there way over to the Pot of Gold/Land of the Free...even with our **** dollar and economy.

              MONEY dictates.

Oh yeah, for any Euro fighter, just come here and live here and you will have your chance. For God-sakes, how many times has Golota been given a title shot.

You go where the work is...that's the way the World works.

If I want to play Soccer at the highest level and get paid, I'm going to Europe.

You do know that people in the "Movie business" come to the States for one reason: JOBS. This is where they make a lot of the movies and spend some money...so Actors will set up camp in one of the major States, like CAL and NY. Of course, there are those that keep a home here and wherever they are from...and if you are great enough, wanted by the public, you can just stay at home and come as you go. Talent and Want from the Public is most important.

Winky Wright fought in Europe because that is where he was making the most money and getting his opportunity...but once he found opportunity here, after working his ass off, he came back to the States.

You go where the MONEY is...You go where the Opportunity is. Not that hard to figure out.

Like I have said many times: If you want to Play Pro Football {World}, you're not staying in the States; you're going to make your way across the Ocean to Europe where the best play and the most money is generated.

I'm for fighters fighting around the world since it helps promote the sport and if they would listen, it would help promote themselves as a Global Brand.

But in the end, it's about who can give me the most money now.
That's why Calzaghe stayed in Britland and didn't make the move until the amount he wanted was given. He didn't want to take a risk of going to America and losing for a smaller purse, even if those build-up fights would eventually get him the biggest payday of his career had he fought Jones Jr. in his prime.

Lennox ended up making more money in the States than anywhere else...and so did RICKY HATTON.

what im saying is, now calzaghe FINALLY has HBO backing where is he fighting?

                  america.

if they backed him earlier he would fight in the us earlier, not his fault hopkins ducked him. he cant drag him in the ring and make him fight.

                  same with hatton!
