Both makes sense from either fighters perspective. A catchweight fight however would allow both guys to keep their titles which might be the solution as this fight is a very big risk for both.

cosign. kessler wont be a big time fight over here for dawson, so he wouldn't fight him at a catchweight. nothing to gain for dawson in that instance, unless kessler moves up to light heavy......still wont be a big fight over here.

dawson wants the "old" guys cuz thats where the money is......

Everybody wants 'the old guys'. But they cannot all fight'em. I think both Kessler and Dawson will be quite low on 'the old guys' to-do list.

Bro, Vic knows what he's saying. He sparred with Vazquez before. He even sparred with a Welterweight once, and he knocked the welterweight down!

I don't see why Dawson would have a problem fighting Cloud, Dawson is just too fast for him. I'd rather see Dawson fight Diaconu or Johnson, but from the looks of it RJJ and Calzaghe won't fight Dawson, Kessler certainly won't.

If Vic fights like he fought Saturday, he knocks Donaire out.

He says people need to stop looking at the old guys and pay attention the up and coming fresh faces, but then says he will only put Dawson against the old guys. I agree that boxing needs to get the fans to focus on the up and coming guys but, how bout putting them in against fighters that post a threat. Like Berto vs. any top 5 welterweight, for Berto to say he is the best Welterweight is nonsense. I actually think Berto has a good chance against the top guys by the way, my whole thing is actually do it before you start running your mouth.

Comparing Mijares to Donaire.. Mijares has 14 KO on his 35 wins..

Mijares slaps like a B?tch.. Donaire has 1 punch KO power.. That's the difference
