Shaw on The Possible Options For Darchinyan, Dawson

By Cliff Rold - Freshly tri-belted Super Flyweight titlist Vic Darchinyan (31-1-1, 25 KO, WBC/IBF/WBA Super) wasn’t the only one with something to celebrate on Saturday night. In terms of Darchinyan’s future plans, his promoter Gary Shaw could feel just as elated. Already one of the few marketable sub-Featherweight fighters in the U.S. market prior to the fight, Darchinyan may look forward to the biggest paydays of his career following Saturday’s upset knockout win of Mexico’s Cristian Mijares. Shaw will have a lot to say about where, and with whom, those paydays come. [details]

    What a joke

This Darchiyan is a joke, he wants to fight Rafael Marquez or Israel Vazquez????? He doesnt stand a chance, bot of these guys have a lot of power and ability, no way.

He should fight Arce or Montiel, i think he could win with Arce but not Montiel.

hey thanks for the informative info Rold!
      the montiel/rosas was streaming earlier.
he he hee ha! montiel would be a tuneup
      for the improved darchinyan!

yeah i guess arce would be where the moneys at.
seen arce on a stream but he didnt look all that good.
arce had problems when he shouldnt of.
i know arce fans like it but i don't go in for his schtik
      of like over dramatizing .
i tell you to me he acts like a novela actor acting like a boxer.
like stalone.he has the dramatic flair...ha ha ha.
and in the past has most certainly been exciting.
would be fun watching arce go down in flames.

no mention of gorres rematch! i wouldn't mind
seeing that one...stateside not over there!
vegas, pinoys, armenians close. plus hispanic like the littlebig men!

say can't wait to see dvd of the undercard with martirosyan.
wow! i know his opponent was far from world class but howe knew how to move. just not far enough.
vanes! holycow. his confident footwork and bazooka left jab.he's fast.
i'm becoming superstitious with the way these armenians can shift thier weight behind there punches. mucho power teqnique vanes and vic has!!

          Bro

Mijares is a natural SuperFly. Vasquez is a big Super Bantamweight.

One fighter who according to Shaw, will not be under consideration is Nonito Donairre. "That fight wont happen"

This Gary SHaw is a smart mother****er!

why? because he won't let vic fight a rematch?
sats fight donaire looked good early rounds but
there after he sort of was off his A game.
a poster said they took donaire to the hospital
after fight for messed up hand!
i seen him hopping around grimacing in post fight.

Cloud won on ESPN2 by knockout over a fighter people who watch boxing had heard of.

I really hope he's not really going to limit Dawson to the 'old man's club'

Just like everybody else Shaw knows Vic can't win against donaire, styles make fight( his reasons are just bs ) . Donaire dominated and knock him out. Also Darchinyan is not getting any younger(32), big money fights with marquez, vasquez et. al. are the obvious choice.
