Ruiz is not ****. Hes just not one of the most talented heavys of all time. He was a good heavyweight in a bad heavyweight era. If he wasn't atleast good, he wouldn't have won any of the main titles at heavy. Now I agree that the division sucks, but thats not Roy's fault.

    Lewis was too big.
Byrd would have been too easy because hes not that big.

Agree -- Byrd vs. Roy would have been a good fight but I see Roy winning.

Yep, Roy was wonderful in that fight. Ruiz might not be an ATG but I don't see anyone else willing to do what Roy did. Roy had that god given physicality which allowed him to bulk up, without sacrificing any of his speed and reflexes. I do feel you need to have extraordinary reflexes and boxing brain to get in and out, without being really clocked at any point by a legit HW champion.

Anyway, it was funny when Merchant and Lampley were trying to **** on the fight in the latter stages, and Foreman put them in their places

Anyway. Heavyweight division really isn't my forte so I'd better just shut my trap.

Amen to that! Have you heard any of his unreleased little snippets that got leaked on the internet?

Its not like moving up to beat Ruiz has never been done before. James Toney also did it.

Peoples first reactions are right, dont turn back on them to conform to the never ending RJJ fest. It was a good win for RJJ. But Ruiz is one of the worst heavyweight "Champions" ever. Just the way it is. Former middleweight Toney did the same thing to him.

Also im gald Neils said it first but the boxing world wanted Jones to win. The ref did everything in his power to help RJJ.

He said he's known Jones for years and years, and knew he didn't take steroids. Joe is a respected trainer, and has been around the game for a long time so I take his word for it. I wouldn't be surprised if he did, but with today's nutritional science, the same results can be achieved naturally. I could be wrong..."-Ben Cohen

Not that this proves he didn't take steroids, it obviously doesn't, but it shows that there are credible sources that say Roy was clean. I know he tested positive once, but that doesn't mean he did before or after. He tested positive for Andro which was available at stores like GNC until 2004. Its all what you choose to believe.
