I do think people hatred for John Ruiz's style clouds their judgement about his capabilities as a fighter also. He was not the greatest but he was a solid fighter in the division and was definetly no slouch.

You might be right. I can't stand watching Ruiz though.

Doesn't matter. He wasn't as bad as you make him out to be. The end.

Yup. Even as old Holy did. Calzaghe fans love to forget this.

What do Calzaghe fans have to do with anything? I thought this was a Roy Jones thread?

                    Roy's top 5 best performances

                    1.) Griffin 2 KO1
                    2.) Toney
                    3.) Ruiz
                    4.) Hill
                    5.) Johnson(Reggie)

                    "Dominated" is a stretch.

He used good strategy and had a lot of assistance from Jay Nady with that "masterpiece". A different referee and he can't fight/avoid fighting for 12 like that...

I wouldn't put the Ruiz fight in his Top 5

Doesn't seem so special to some people I guess.
Talking about me when Im not here. You obsessive coward.

Calzaghe could beat Ruiz. Ruiz is one of the worst heavyweight "champions" of all time. Full stop.
