Roy Jones Jr. Vs. John Ruiz Revisted/top 5 best performances

Honestly, Roy was unbelievable that night. I watched it again yesterday and was blown away by how Roy dominated a top 10 heavy after starting his career at 54.

    Roy's top 5 best performances

    1.) Griffin 2 KO1
    2.) Toney
    3.) Ruiz
    4.) Hill
    5.) Johnson(Reggie)

Calzaghe could win at Heavyweight if he wanted- easily. -DirkDigglerUK.

Doesn't seem so special to some people I guess.

No. Just no. Lennox would have knocked Roy out cold for a week.

I doubt Roy could beat anything other than a rubbish heavyweight like Ruiz.

No, Lewis would have hurt him badly. Lewis is 6'5 250. Roy was way to small.

Yea beating Ruiz was pretty special. Ruiz was a solid heavyweight with a difficult style (boring yet effective). I think people over look it because the Tarver fights happeaned right after the Ruiz fight and those fights overshadow it to them.

Ruiz = better win than anything Joe has ever done.

Lewis would KO Roy. That's not shameful. Lewis was great and way too big.

When you really look at it. John Ruiz sucks in comparison to other fighters who are more skilled. But in reality, he was holder of one of the top 3 belts at heavyweight before and after roy beat him. So say what you will but Ruiz was a top fighter at heavyweight. Its not like he fought a guy who wasn't even ranked in the top 15 in the division.
