If Calzaghe loses against Roy, it depends on how. If he is knocked out by one punch, that happens...even against Old Men...ask Moorer.

If Roy beats him by say 8 rounds to 4, then yes, Joe is overrated. If it is a close decision, yes, it still hurts.

Joe cannot lose more than 4 rounds to Roy and it would be best if he knocked him out.

If he loses, weird thing is, he better be knocked out by one punch while ahead because if he is being dominated or it is close and he is knocked out by one punch, again, that's sad and overrated will be due.
I agree with every word, bro. Nobody was calling Moorer overrated for losing to the hardest puncher the sport's probably ever had. He was dominating the fight when he got KO'd. That can happen.

But if Roy is outclassing him, we got problems.

And yes, it does depend who rates him first. But the thing about Mijares is, the whole boxing world (all the experts I respect) said he was a great boxer. That's just shocking and that's why I said Mijares is the most overrated fighter I've seen since following boxing. I'm still shocked that so many people could be so wrong about him

I predicted Lacy to destroy Joe, hell almost everyone did. I was in England during the build up to the fight, the oddsmakers had Lacy up at 3/1

Why was it so wrong to predict Lacy to win that fight? Nobody knew anything about Calzaghe. Lacy was at least on TV destroying people while Calzaghe fought the same recycled Euro trash for 10 years. Nobody respected Calzaghe until he beat Lacy. Nobody

It was almost the equivalent of one complete unknown outclassing a guy that was being billed as the next big thing. ****, Lacy was on a Nike commercial before that fight, so he was becoming a name while Calzaghe did absolutely nothing over in Europe

Good post. I admit I hadn't seen as much of Mijares as I would have like but I had seen him against Arce and Munoz. I kept going by articles and threads saying he's a great boxer and mover and could slip punches like no one else.

I had seen Vic fight Nonito and Glenn Donaire, Kirilov, Pacheco. Vic is soo limited and he carries his right hand low even and winds up when he jabs.

Mijares is definatly overated and Vic IMO doesn't seem to have improved still has defensive holes and still throws that ****** double left hook that has him open to a big right straight or left hook.

Exactly, tbh I based my pick on the Reid fight. Calzaghe struggled ALOT with Reid whereas Lacy picked him apart and beat him up. I really should have looked closer at the Sheika fights. I had seen quite a bit of Joe before Lacy and he seemed patchy like he would look absolutely spectacular then look like crap against a nobody and in the 3 fights before Lacy his left hook (which carried alot of power) had gone and i mean disappeared he stopped throwing it with any intent and looked rubbish winning. Lacy had been dominating and KOing everyone.

It wasa huge upset, it wasn't only us picking Lacy to beat Joe it was the experts and the british press.

who ****in cares everybody makes bad picks. just because somebody goes out on a limb to pick an underdog doesnt make him an idiot.

And to you Diego, yes people do think Roy can win. Dan Rafael gives Roy a good shot at winning, as do other experts, but because of the reasons u said, such as Roy being shot, people are reluctant to pick him
