solid enough for ya'll?
roy jones' chin

This video features about 10 seconds of Roy Jones being hit flush on the chin with power punches before he moved to heavyweight. The rest is just hit blocking punches or getting hit to the body. There's also footage of him TKOing Clinton Woods and several other people, although I'm not sure what that proves about his chin.
For some reason the Del Valle fight is not not included. How strange

i think that further proves he has a solid chin, that was a powerful two punch combo and he got up no sweat, not to mention he probabley only got knocked down cuz of the wet ringThis video features about 10 seconds of Roy Jones being hit flush on the chin with power punches before he moved to heavyweight. Uh huh.
You posted a video of Roy taking a few punches, and you're saying that this proves he had a solid chin. But you agree with me that the video shows hardly anything of him getting him by solid shots, and leaves out the clip of the hardest punch that he was hit by, right?Comment

Roy's Lennox Lewis. Good chin, but when they get hit with a massive bomb, their going down. Roy got away with it for years because he was never hit flush by a bomb or maybe he has and I just don't remember off the top of my head. He has been hit hard before and by solid contact shots, but not compared to the shot Tarver landed.
When a big shot did land, he took the sting away from it by rolling with it. The two shots that knocked him out were flush, and with solid impact with no rolling. He also didn't see either punch so that effect helps the likelihood of a knockout. First one was on the Chin and the second was covered his entire side/ear/temple. He was throwing a punch when he was knocked out by Tarver. Some incredible knockouts have come when both fighters are throwing...with one opponent getting there first; think Marciano vs. Walcott or Lewis vs McCall.
We all saw what happened to Tarver when he lost the weight...and of course, Chris Byrd...which was very sad to see. Chris took shots from some of the biggest Heavyweights, yet when he moved to LH, he couldn't take a jab.
The weight loss killed him. When your body is ill, in stress mode, you don't have the same punch-resistance. If his chin was glass, Ruiz would have knocked him out with the shot he landed. Ruiz hits harder than any fighter Roy has faced. Say what you will about Ruiz being boring, he is still a Heavy with some pop...enough to knock down Holyfield with a head shot.
Lou Del Valle was the first to knock him down...but Roy got back up and fought on well.
You can see Roy turned his head to the side...bad move.
this vid is also good
58 seconds in
