Hes known for lunging in with the left.

They obviously worked that kink out once Nonito showed him what a true flaw it is.

Its got nothing to do with Mijares just standing there, it has to do with his training.

There has been remarkable improvement in that aspect of his game.

If you use your jab, move lateral against Vic, he won't be able set up his power punches thus causing him to get careles and lunging in with his punches.
Mijares fought his fight. You can't stay in front of Darch or you will get KTFO.
There also times when Vic lunge in but Mijares didn't step back and counter him.
With Nonito, you got that powerful left hook waiting for your a$s.

Yes he did lose, convincgly. But these bull**** threads and posters claiming Mijares is a bum have no ****ing idea what theyre talking about. Mijares is was past the stage of being exposed, for the boxing educated (specifically those who actually follow boxing below the WelterW limit) a quick glance through his resume is enough to prove this. Claiming Mijares was exposed or is a bum after this loss is the same as claiming Cotto was exposed by Margarito. Not every champ or p4p fighter who loses a fight is exposed.

mijares was exposed as overconfident. I expect him to come back from this loss and will continue watching his fights. Vic is a pretty bad ass fighter before, but now that his defense is tighter and he doesn't lunge or load up on one shot he is definitely someone to watch.
