MY point was that Joe and Bernard both are WAY past the exposed stage, and most people cannot do what they do.
bernard beats tarver right before and beats pavlik right after joe beat hop.

it was a great win for joe.

it wasn't close to me at all. boring and no action doesn't mean close.

bernard landed the more meaningful blows but they were few and far between. people can laugh at joes slapping all they want but fact it he was landing those slaps (far more than bernard anyway) and he was throwing more as well.

      joe won that fight.

For a skillful counterpuncher, Mijares didn't win a round. He had nine opportunities but all was won by Vic.....the "one dimensional fighter". It wasn't even close.

Get over it Hector......you always root for bums. Abner Mares is next.

Please, one Mexican loses and you wanna front like the rest of our peoples are as weak as FILIPINOS!? lol Only a regime of female soldiers on a battle field can be classified as your equivalents.

Truth is, the ONLY fighter in Mares' way is Lopez. And Lopez is 10x's the fighter that the "Filapeeno islands" can produce lol, be serious.

vic's win over mijares is impressive, but i dont see him beating nonito, unlike mijares nonito took vic's shots and gave vic some big shots of his own...
The Vic that got crushed by Nonito isn't the same fighter that put on a brilliant display last night. There wasn't much of the usual lunging in by Vic. He set up his left had well by keeping the right busy. His uppercut was deadly as well.

I'd favor Vic right now over Nonito.

Vic wasn't lunging in cause Mijares was there in front of him flatfooted open to get hit with Vic power punches.
Nonito does lateral movement.......always on his toes bouncing in and out ,moving to his left which is the correct thing to do against a southpaw like Vic.
Plus, Donaire have that powerful left hook which is a good weapon against a southpaw.

You haven't seen many Vic fights.

Hes known for lunging in with the left.

They obviously worked that kink out once Nonito showed him what a true flaw it is.

Its got nothing to do with Mijares just standing there, it has to do with his training.

There has been remarkable improvement in that aspect of his game.

people saying mijares was overated and **** are ignorant or just supid.
Mijares is an amazing boxer, has all the package.
Vic was amazing on the fight....his power, pressure and defense were top class and Mijares wasnt able to adjust and time vic's punches and thats all because of vics great performance. Mijares will come back stronger, im sure of it cos he doesnt seem like a guy that after a lose he will lose his determination.
Ill be waiting for mijares return and im sure he will come back to dominate the division. he couldnt do it now, but he is still young and this lose will help him to be better next time.
