Vic Darchinyan Dominates, Knocks Cristian Mijares Out

Yea, I'm gunna start watching more now. I like Vic, not the most skilled fighter overall (Although more skilled than he was given credit for clearly), but hell of a punch.

Oh, hell...if you think he's unskilled now, you should've seen his last half dozen fights. The guy was all punch, and no substance. I knew he'd probably done some serious work in the gym after the Donaire loss....honestly didn't quite expect this much improvement, but had him picked for the winner anyway.

This fight was nearly a shutout, and I'm still in awe of how much he improved.

Honestly I always thought Vic had a chance, but I had only seen a couple fights of Mijares so I didnt want to say for sure. From what I saw, I didnt see the great technician everyone else saw. From the sound of it Donaire struggled tonight though. But he should be elvated considering how well he did against Vic.

i agree stick, the ammount of improvement he has made this quck, and late in his career is pretty damn impressive.

I Loved The Fact That Mijares Got His Ass Knocked Out, He Tried To Showoff For His Mexican Fans And Got Laid Out In Front Of Them

Lucky For Him He Was Able To Get Out Of The 1st Round, He's A Tough Dude, But Vic Just Broke His Ass Down!!!!!

Yeah, he needs to avenge that loss, and if tonight is any example of what he's capable of, he should be able to take Donaire late and either sink him in deep water, or take a comfortable decision.

The only thing that concerns me is the amount of energy Vic expends....if he can keep from completely gassing late, I think he beats Donaire handily.

I used to like Dic until he acted like such a ass (hence the name) after the Donaire loss. I gotta say, his arrogance is his strength though.

And I dont see all the improvements people are talking about. He's maybe a little more careful after he got KO'ed, but Mijares just got worked by the same old Dic. Imo. Amybe Mijares being a southpaw had something to do with it. Donaire just had the perfect gameplan with the counter left hook.

do you know what ktfo means? as the annoucners indicated, when Mijares went down, the doctor raan in to check on his, when a Ref isn't needed to complete counting to 10, then one can say the loser got KTFO...a rematch would be good, but I feel Vic would wear this dude down, much like Margarito will do again to Cotto........
