    Vic Darchinyan Dominates, Knocks Cristian Mijares Out

    At the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, Vic Darchinyan (31-1-1, 25 KOs) pulled off a massive upset by dominating and knocking out Cristian Mijares (35-4-2, 13 KOs) in nine rounds to make history. With the win, Darchinyan is now the IBF, WBA and WBC super flyweight title, the first fighter to unify the 115-pound weight class.         that was strange. Mijares didnt seem himself at all. But maybe vic's unorthodox style threw him off. usually mijares does all the basics very well, but he backed up with his hands down, and got laid out. deserved to lose fighting like that. I was very sure mijares would outbox Vic, I was dead wrong.

                  great job by vic, he improved his defense a huge ammount, and threw great combonations in relation to his earlier fights.
                  his new trainer has been very good for him. maybe we will see a much different hatton with sr as well?

                      after this, i think only a big guy with in and out movemnt and power can crack Vic....nonito is all that....montiel lacks a little defense for me to pick him convincingly....
