Havent you read the article on the first page?

Hasim Rahman is a replacement for Alexander Povetkin, Wlad's mandatory. Rahman has been recommended by the IBF because he's their next highest ranked available heavyweight:

The International Boxing Federation serves professional boxers and those interested in being members of the IBF.

I think this isn't a bad fight, considering it's short notice, and there were few other available options.

TONEY would've been better? CHambers, maybe, but it'd ruin him for a few years. Toney would've been uncompetetive and brain-damaged after it was over.

In the long run I think it was good for Chambers he didn't get this fight but baad for the division. Chambers would most likely hav lost buh put on a damn good show for all us. Rahman jus gonna get KO'd and not look good at all doin it.

Id rather have seen Toney vs. Wladimir. mostly just because Rahman was actually getting beat up by Toney before he quit, and because it would be hilarious to see the size difference, and because Toney would have been the most skilled fighter that Wlad had ever been in the ring with. not the best fighter...but the most skilled, even if that most skilled fighter is fat and 8 inches shorter.

besides, if worst came to worst and Toney was easily being dominated, at least it would be the first time that Toney would have been stopped, which would have made it unique. I mean really, Rahman being knocked out? that isnt something new.

still, could have been worse. like Wlad vs Kali Meehan or Samil Sam...ugh.
