    rahman doesnt deserve a shot

he was getting belted by an old james toney and quit in frustration

wlad should smack him around, but theres always a chance rahman can land a big shot (see first lewis fight) and it will be all over....

doubt it though, wlad stops him in mid rounds, he will fight like a ***** though, and it may go on even longer

Would have ment something a few years ago. Not now. Rock always has a pucnchers chance, but I expect to see the 2nd Lewis fight all over again. Wlad by KO in the mid rounds. And how the hell is Rock ranked #5?

MAD magazine used to have the "Scenes we want to see"-department. Well, this surely ain't one of them. There are several fighters out there, more intriguing than Rahman.

It's a no-win situation for Wlad. He wins, so what? He loses, oh didn't we all know he was glass chinned - and not of real world ch'ship material.

Povetkin, Arreola, this division is calling for you!

Absolutely pathetic. But then again, so are 99.5% of heavyweights.

thanks a lot Valuev, fighting Holyfield instead of Wladimir. hmph.
                Good post.

Considering that Valuev/Sauerland/King were not willing to fight Wladimir, Rahman is the best option they had, all things considered. Toney and Chambers would have had zero chance against Wlad, but Rahman has at least a punchers chance.

Arreola, Haye and Dimitrenko had other fights scheduled and are not quite ready for Wlad anyway, and there's no drama in having them KOed by Wlad too soon...

I've always wanted to see Rahman vs. Wlad, and although this is a little late, better late than never. And Wlad's knocking out Rahman will be another step toward his cleaning out the heavyweight division.

Rahman is a shell of his former self, a fraction of the fighter he was back in 2001. Normally I wouldn't write of anyone against Wlad given his glaring deficiencies but this is a different matter. Rahman won't even land a substantial punch let alone pull off the upset.

How exactly? Rahman is not one of the hurdles Wlad needs to jump to achieve undisputed status. Neither is someone like Chambers but that would have been a fight to get excited about.
