I don't recall seeing Calzaghe eat any good shots. He usually isn't much of a risk taker in my opinion so most guys don't get a good shot at him. Plus all that slapping is sure distracting ahaha

yeah at first i was really surprised to see joe go down because hopkins has enough snap but he doesn't have the power that some other fighters that joe has faced has, after all the last time bernard scored a KO i think it was over DLH (60% sure).

the replay showed that after the punch there was a definete push from b-hop.

joe has taken bombs from alo of fighters eubank, kess, mitchell all of these guys are strong and powerful punchers and they all caught joe at one point or another, yet joe manged to defeat each and every one of them. not once have i seen joe hurt, he has been knocked down but his eyes stay focused and legs dont go wobbly.

**** those nuthuggers, it was a legit knockdown. even calzaghe admits it... his fanbois are idiots.

the hilarious thing in that clip is hopkins grabbed calzaghe's arm to clinch cause he didn't even throw that right w/ all his power and didn't expect calzaghe to fall down from it.

for sure rjj punches harder than hopkins, but once calzaghe starts this 1000-furious-slaps combo, rjj will have flashbacks of johnson and shut down mentally and go into survival mode.

No, pal, sorry...it was a beauty of a shot, unexpected and quick, but if Zaggs hadn't already been off balance, and then got shoved by Bernard, I don't think he'd have been down at all. The punch was nice and clean, yes, but it was followed by the rest of Hopkins, while Zaggs didn't have a leg behind him at all.

i agree. i hear calzaghe fans say he has an iron chin..etc etc. but i'v never seen anybody hit him with a true POWER shot. the right hand that b-hop drop him wit was a lite punch and it sent him to the canvas. my opinion is the first time his chin taste real power he will fold like a lawn chair.
