That was a huge punch and he got back up and started firing back. It was also a great fight.

Oh yeah, one of the most exciting 2 round fights I can recall. I think the cries about an early stoppage were baseless, mostly. It might've been a tad early, but Mitchell was catching alot of big shots upstairs, and was out on his feet. On top of that, he'd been pretty hurt in the first round also, and I kind of expected him to go down then. I wouldn't have had any problem with it continuing, but I don't have any problem with the stoppage, either. If not then, it would've happened early the next round. Byron just wasn't able to deal with the handspeed and angles, and was destined to be stopped early in that fight. It's another one of those fights where I didn't really want to see either guy lose.


I felt bad for Mitchell, getting butt****ed in Germany like he did and losing his title earlier. Not the first time for that to happen.

How is that relevent? That had nothing to do with power, it was a flash KD, half a push. More to do with balance. Calzaghe wasnt hurt.

Damn this is crazy...I was merely hoping to get some insight from Joe's fans about if he ever was hit with shots that were about on the level that Jones was KO'd with...But on the real if anyone actually believes that hopkins didn't land a clean unquestionable punch when he was charging in to floor him in the first better have only heard the radiobroadcast cause there is no way that could be denied by any sane person that has functioning eyes...I got Roy pullin a Virgil Hill on Joe anyway...Roy has very little pressure for this fight if he don't win it will be a told you so for boxing but if he Ko's this guy then boxing looking at a big ass fight that avg fans will buy, causual fans and rightfully so if Jones wins we will get a big name fight and reguardless of age if Jones wins the fight with Hopkins would really be a huge fight with both knocking off younger ranked guys to get a spotlight rematch big money....BODY SHOT!!!!!
