i don't know if roach is getting compensated, but it definitely gives pac and the phillipines some false confidence.

Oscar is not in his prime so every hit like this just takes away from a Pac win, if he does win. And if he loses, that something else.

But of course, like many of us know, with a lot of fans the NAME means more than where the fighter is at in his career...which is sad and ignorant.
its not the name, dlh.................it's the jrmiddleweight oscar fighting the 135 lb. manny....its the size differential that will make this a big win for manny, if he pulls it off. has nothing to do w/ whether or not oscar is past his prime. manny is coming into this fight a HUGE underdog, NO ONE gives him a chance, so a win is huge for him. the fact that its oscar is just a bonus. the name only draws in the audience.....

            tighten up!

roach? who takes roach's comments seriously?

this was the same guy who said hopkins should retire after the calzaghe fight, b/c he was worried about him, b/c he "walked to the wrong corner a few times during that fight..." roach basically said hopkins had no business fighting pavlik, and basically said it was a "suicidal" move by hopkins.....

              did anybody see that fight?

roach is a trainer. not even a GREAT one, a GOOD one. he's not God. he's just running his trap, hyping the fight. what he needs to do is his job- train pacman....

Dumb rumor but im begining to think Pac may win. If his speed and stamina hold up Dlh may be in trouble. I think the size difference is not as big as people make it out to be. And I think the weight may acutally give Pac more power and stamina. Peace

the size difference is huge.....10 lbs. may not seem like a lot, but ask pavlik. when you add that much weight, as fast as this fight came about, it usually does more harm, as far as affecting speed and energy, than good (as far as increasing power and durability). adding weight like that has to be done right, i.e. the way hopkins did it for tarver......

i dont think pac will come into the fight over 143 anyway, but considering the fact dlh still packs a punch, and is so much bigger, a win here would be bigger for pacman than hopkins' win over pavlik, i think....just by the fact some people acutally picked hops to win, NO ONE is picking manny to win here

Golden Johnson destroys Pacquiao training camp

                    By RONNIE NUTHUGGINEZ

LOS ANGELES — Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and celebrated trainer Freddy Roach were just two of the victims at training camp after devastating welterweight contender Golden Johnson arrived today and went on a rampage.

In an overseas telephone conversation with this king of all Pacquiao nuthuggers, the all-that-is-man Johnson said that after arriving to the Philippines' National Treasure's camp, he went ape-**** and decided to knockout everyone in site, including Pacquiao, Roach, other sparring partners...and even Pacquiao's charming wife Jinkee.

Johnson proceeded to call out Oscar De la Hoya and warned that he'd be invading the Mexican-American's camp in Big Bear next!

Let's make it happen! Johnson-De la Hoya!
