The minute Ricky stepped foot on U.S soil, he barely made it out of a fight with a b-level fighter in Luis Collazo, which in the opinion of many, was a contraversial decision. He went on to beat Castillo, only to get starched by Floyd.

As for Joe. His first fight on U.S soil, he was dropped, and won a close decision via pity pat. Many also thought this decision was contraversial do to the fact that Hopkins landed the much more meaningful blows, which in return, Joe threw nothing but flurries of slaps (which he himself admitted).

Funny how both fighters look unstoppable until they step on U.S soil.

Jeff Lacy was undefeated and his career was fought on on U.S soil

      Hell No! No offense...

Hatton would have had to take a crack at a prime Kosta, Mayweather, Ward, Cotto and etc

Calzaghe prime B-Hop, RJJ, Possibly James Toney, :/

Right. So none of those people fought each other, yet Hatton would've had to fight all of them?

Does that really make sense to you?

Then again everyone expect Floyd to fight every 147 pounder walking.

I think his technical ability is also overrated, he does have some good footwork and at times displays decent boxing ability but i beleive the biggest problem he presents to his opponents is ' punches in bunches ' ... although they aren't really punches so he is able to throw more and at awkward angles ... I think that's where his success lies but its just my opinion.

Also fighters that got me into the sport in the first place are fighters like Gatti, Lewix, Tyson and a few others, all boxers that throw technically sound textbook punches and that's the image i have in my head as to how boxers should punch ... correctly.
well go watch younger joe then in older fights

We all know that the greatest fighters come from the Americas. But I am not disrespecting Hatton or Joe because they are both accomplished world champions.

I really dont think it would have made any difference if Hatton and Joe c had started their careers in the U.S.A, If the promoter was the same(Warren) then they would go through the same route, Jermaine taylor, Pavlik, lacy etc all also had undefeated record but against mediocre competitions before stepping up.
