Ummm, Hopkins don't really got rhythm, he kinda looked like Shane McMahon doing the Shane O' Mac dance in that final round with Pavlik.

It has nothing to do with race, but Goldie does have tremendous trouble cutting off the ring...he has made a living off of standing up to big punchers.

He beat Ike Quartey but Ike isnt from America.

Really if you think about it, real blacks(Africans) are not that good at boxing. I mean as Elite level boxers. These are the only ones I can think of, off the top of my head.

(Best of the bunch) Ike Quartey- Almost was elite but lost to DLH and Vargas.

Sam Peter- Quit in his biggest fight

Andrew Lewis- Had a belt but was Knocked out by Mayorga.

Howard Eastman- Lost to every big name.

Kassim Ouma- Lost to every big name.

Ben Tackie-Fought good names but always lost.

Plenty others who had thier shot and lost like Sakio Bika. Those are the real africans, their are plenty more who are first generation africans that live elsewhere like Sechew Powell. Powell sucks. Joshua Clottey is the best I can think of and he already lost to Antonio Margarito.

Africans don’t have training facilities good as Americans, Europeans and Latina Countries. They can’t just take up boxer for fun and don’t have good training regimes as these countries.

You have to factor in that the standard of living in Africa and thus the training facilities available are several levels below what African-Americans are usually provided access to in the United States.

Also, I know Silencers already mentioned it but Azumah Nelson wasn't half bad.

Yeah but plenty of boxers come from very poor places.

I was just talking about current fighters. But on a history note, Nelson and Tiger were good.

It isn't about coming from poor backgrounds dude, it is the infrastructure.

And I would hardly equate lower-middle class America or Eastern Europe with the significant regions in Africa where you have to walk for 2 hours to obtain drinkable water.

Yeah thats true. Im not trying to debate Africas problems and why their not good at boxing.

But to be fair, african boxers that are any good quickly move to a higher grade country. As in most of their careers, they have these same training facilities as everyone else.
