Not really. Imagine he beats Margarito and Cotto, both. Then Margarito goes on to lose to Williams again, and Cotto loses to Margarito (this is no fantasy as you know but i while back i would be flamed by this). His legacy (and i hate that word of recent) lets just say his resume would look less brilliant and people would say and trust me they would, the exact same thing you are saying but times worse for him because they would actually be right. Cotto is incomplete and Margarito can be beat with speed and on points because he is a bit slow..
Did Floyd take a ***** way out retiring when he did?

With you on that one. I am still holding on to the hope we might get 1 or 2 more fights out of him before he actually hangs them up for good. Just sucks he chose to stop right when he did, nobody wants to see him make a comeback and not be as good as he was before.Comment

Man let Floyd live! He retired because of people like the topic creator. No matter who Floyd wouldve beat, it wouldn't be good enough. You see Floyd now and he is happy enjoying life and oh by the way he is rich! Wouldn't we all like to retire at 31? I can only hope in another 8 years I will be fortunate enough to do exactly what Floyd did.Comment

Floyd would'nt even hurt Margarito. Although i feel Floyd could very will win a ud via pot-shot and run, it still doesnt mean he will certainly beat Margarito. Marg would continue to hunt Floyd down, and take Floyd's best shots just to get his in. Floyd's lack of power poses no threat to Margarito.Comment
