Did Floyd take a ***** way out retiring when he did?

At 31 he's still in his prime but he retires the minute legit welterweights call him out.

Retired before Cotto -Marg so regardless of the winner he was out of the equation, like Larry merchant said "I got nothing against you Floyd, I just want to know when your going to fight somebody decent".

People are angry and ODLH for turning down marg, they should be angry and floyd the lil ***** for retireing. He hasnt proved **** at 147 to make me think he could beat any of the top fighters. As we've seen Zab getting ruined by cotto and dominated by clottey too, all his top wins have been beaten and beaten worse than he beat them.

Yes he did, he's an overrated piece of garbage that will be lucky if he ever makes the Top 100 ranks.

I'm a Floyd fan, but I really wanted him to fight Cotto or Marg, and am dissapointed he didn't.

basically, he thought, everyones telling me to fight cotto cause his such a big threat, after he would do that, they would of told him to fight another welterweight, and another, and another intill he loses. he didnt wanna lose, so he retired, and he dont even have to think about boxing any more..

For every top fighter there is always someone they haven't beaten yet, once you get to the point you stop enjoying it get out.

he stopped enjoying it so he got out.

it is disappointing that he retired so early. it seems like such a waste of skill. many fighters would kill to have his natural gifts and abilities. i do not think he did it out of fear but it is a disappointment to me.
