But as far as him at his best beating the Roy Jones of 1994-96 at 168 lbs?

    No. Jones by UD.

Lacy = A young inexperianced boxer who was'nt even tested !
Hopkins = 43 years old and clearly past his prime !Yet the best slappy could do was slap his way to a SD !

WOW ! Your right ! very impressive !
      Lol.

Eubank = Still very dangerous, JC was very young and raw.
Kessler = Anyone who understands the sport of boxing can see he is an exceptional fighter.
Reid = A good fighter who held two belts across that division, also he was classed as a good fighter when Lacy fought him?
Lacy = Only became a poor fighter after the one sided lesson he received from JC, prior to that he was the new superstar who would retire the fraud???
Hopkins = Past his prime? Looked fine when he schooled Pavlik the other week.

The thread is about the Greatest SMW, not the greatest fighter. Jones and Toney may have beaten Calzaghe but they didn't fight him they chose to move on.

Toney was schooled by Jones so he moved up to LHeavy to then lose to Griffin, who did he beat at Light Heavy? He lost again to Griffin so...in fact after the loss to Jones he fought mostly no-body's (and losing again to Drake Thadzi) before he became a fat heavy.

Jones was undoubtedly the better fighter but he fought at SMW, what 8 -10 times?

Calzaghe is obviously the greatest SMW so far albeit in a weak division.

You bet. Although Chris wasn't the same after the second Watson fight, he was still hard as nails and hit like a mule. For anyone doubting, WATCH THE DAMN FIGHT! Tell me that wasn't a WAR he had with Calzaghe. I'd bet most people who discredit Joe probably didn't even watch the fight. It was a great one.

Chris was only 31, too. It makes me laugh when people say Eubank was old! Joe was still relatively green at the time. Awesome win for Joe, he is no doubt very proud, and so he should be. Only 11 days before the Eubank fight, Joe was preparing to fight Collins who ended up avoiding Joe, and admitted so later on.

Exactly, before that fight JC was classed as a puncher having stopped 95% of his opponents. He left the ring with so much more respect as an overall fighter boxer.
