Against John Ruiz he fought a very good fight early, dropped him twice and hung on late as he tired and Ruiz rallied. With a swollen eye he fought through it to a close decision loss.

When Lamon Brewster bombed him to the canvas three times, he kept trying to give up. In his former career, would Golota have climbed back in the ring after getting tossed out of it by a left hook?

Here he is, at 40 years old, and he is riding a three fight win streak. The last two, against Mike Mollo and Kevin McBride, those are decent wins. If only he didn't waste his talent early on, he would have been a very serious champion.

He might be one of the best heavyweights to never win a title.

    The HW division is weak..

Doesn't matter i think he's only ranked for a WBA shot anyway.
Wasn't there a rumor of him fighting Valuev a while back?

I would bet points on him beating Valuev. Yeah that's right, e-points, I'm serious about this stuff. No but really, Golota still has something left and Valuev is just not very good.

Hey Asian, prime for prime, Golota vs Tua, who takes it?

Tua, Golota could not deal with the mental pressure of catching a Tua hook. Though skill-wise Golota completely outclasses Tua. Unfortunately, skills mean nothing when you don't want to fight.

Golota is the HW Zab Judah. Dude's got all the tools, but just can't come thru at the elite level.
