Say all you want about Golota being finished...

But you have to admit has shown some heart in his comeback fights.

Nobody thought he'd give any serious fight to Chris Byrd. Most picked him to go nuts and lose by DQ. Most people left MSG believing that he won.

Against John Ruiz he fought a very good fight early, dropped him twice and hung on late as he tired and Ruiz rallied. With a swollen eye he fought through it to a close decision loss.

When Lamon Brewster bombed him to the canvas three times, he kept trying to give up. In his former career, would Golota have climbed back in the ring after getting tossed out of it by a left hook?

Here he is, at 40 years old, and he is riding a three fight win streak. The last two, against Mike Mollo and Kevin McBride, those are decent wins. If only he didn't waste his talent early on, he would have been a very serious champion.

He might be one of the best heavyweights to never win a title.

Hey, I really like the Foul Pole, and always felt that he had what was necessary to get this job done. Unfortunately, he's highly unpredictable, and if you don't mind my saying so, a bit off in the head on occasion. Still great fun to watch, whatever happens when he's in the ring.

Incidentally, he used to have a fantastic jab, one that could've given him an edge over almost anyone. Didn't he have shoulder surgery or something? Last several times I saw him fight, he never used his jab as often as he did before.

His body looked pretty cut and in shape, meaning he stayed in shape. The only thing now is for him to mentally stay in shape. But he needs a big fight soon win or lose.

As said before i'd rather see him get one last shot then see Rahman get blown away.

I can't see him winning vs Valuev or the Klits but i think he'd brig more to the table at this point.
