Dirk, at times I'll humor you but sometimes you pick arguments that are completely irrelevant.

The point of the post is to say that Hopkins is deserving of a rematch more than anyone - especially Kessler since I read a couple posts saying he should get one. Whether or not he had an opportunity to fight someone who could prove himself worthy is his own business - obviously he seriously values his WBA title. But getting back to the POINT, Hopkins deserves a shot over him.

Does he deserve a rematch over Dawson.

Yes he does IMO. But if Calzaghe isn't willing to give him one then Chad Dawson would be a wonderful, wonderful statement fight by Joe.

Anyone's available anytime, everyone knows this.

            -Not available
            -Mandatories
-Not on the TV Networks ok list
-TV networks blocking each other out
-Promoters not willing to entertain a fight
-Fighters not wiling to entertain a fight
-Promoters not making a deal and settling
-Fighters not willing to go fight in some locations
-Fighters no willing to change weight
-Fighters wanting a tune up instead
-Fighter not willing to fight another Mexican
-Fighter not willing to wait until a certain month

These things just never happen, unheard of. How naive and idealistic, each and every one has happened numerous times, even recently.

Nothing irrelevent. You made a point of saying that Kessler is fighting chumps while Hopkins is fight the Great Pavlik.

You're comparing two completely different situations again. If you give me the name of a fighter that Kessler couldve fought and chose not to then we can sit and compare. Pavlik's team were more interested in fighting Welterweights than Kessler who was never mentioned as a possible opponent. The only reason Hopkins got the fight is because Team Pavlik had nowhere to go.

I thought Kesslers performance against Calzaghe was more admirable than what Hopkins offered

                Well that's where we disagree.

I don't know about "admirable" but I thought Hopkins gave Calzaghe a far tougher fight, lost a close split decision and hence should get a rematch.

                  .
Most ironic **** Ive ever read. YOU asking someone to stick to the point?

Remember when you started picking at me because I said Hopkins debuted at LHW and you said it was 177lbs.

                  Oh dear.

Well I found Kessler's willingness to actually engage in a fight more admirable than what Hopkins offered.

Still waiting for those names Kessler shouldve fought to make his situation comparable to Hopkins'.........
