I do not know who Kessler could have negotiated with. Obviously he wanted to defend his title. However, that doesn't change the fact that Hopkins is more deserving of a rematch and I believe the public would agree.

As for Kessler's willingness to engage in a fight, well good for him. Nevertheless, Hopkins fought Calzaghe much closer and actually produced a knockdown even though he didn't want to fight! LOL.

Obviously he wanted to defend his title? Well theres a novel idea.

I would say Kessler rocking Calzaghe with straight rights and uppercuts in the first 4 rounds meant more than a flash knockdown/push from a sinlgle right hand. However its nice to see you think one round defines a fight. I'd love your assessment of Hopkins' performance beyond round 5.

Yeah...so novel these days. Let's see what Kessler does next.

Like it or not, Hopkins fought Calzaghe tougher and much closer than Kessler.

Lets. He said he'd like to fight Hopkins. Surely that'd be the ultimate decider over who deserves a rematch?

The only reason it was close was there was very little actual fighting going on due to one participants unwillingness thus it made rounds difficult to score. I wouldnt say it was a tough fight.

I think Dawson is really good and Joe should fight him if he stays fighting. But if he wants to retire then fair enough. You'd think a Mayweather fan would understand that. Except Joe isnt retiring in his prime and ducking an entire division....
not ducking the entire division he didn't duck the 40 year olds....

I doubt this fight happens, but I think Joe C would UD him. Dawson has been able to outwork his guys, even if he wasn't necessarily outboxin em. I don't think he could do either against Zag. He has a power edge, but Joe takes a decent enuf shot to survive Chad's power I think.
