Pavlik is taken too much punishment. The first fight with Taylor should have been stopped in the second round but they had to rob the good ole boy and make him feel like a villain. The rematch they had the judges paid off because none of the three judges scored the same round for Taylor unanimously (just like with Cotto vs. Mosley) It's the stink of Bob Arum coming back to haunt him. This time he farted in the shower so he will be on the receiving end for a change. HBO got what they deserved.

I understand and witnessed B-Hop's domination of Pavlik and give him all the credit in the world, and it is inspiring, but I don't understand how Jermain Taylor is calling Pavlik a champion on paper. I understand Taylor beat B-Hop twice but he could've easily lost those fights. They were both very close fights. But calling Pavlik a champion on paper is pretty disrespectful and ignorant on Taylor's behalf when Pavlik put Taylor's ass to sleep in the first fight, taking his titles and causing him to run away into his locker room like a little kid running home crying after getting his lunch money taken away and then losing again to Pavlik in the second fight. I just don't understand the gall in which Taylor is calling Pavlik a champion on paper. It was HIS titles that Pavlik took from him. I'd bet if B-Hop would have fought Taylor with the same intensity and style that he beat Pavlik with, he'd easily beat Taylor in their fights. Taylor in my eyes now falls in the same category as I put Calzaghe- JACKASS!!

which fight? the pavlik fight?

clinching is a part of the game. difference in this fight than in the calzaghe fight was that hopkins was much more "active" in terms of fighting, to go along w/ the clinching......if hopkins had fought more, even though i still feel he got robbed against calzaghe, he would've gotten that decision to. but it wasn't the clinching, it was the "illusion" of fighting that gave joe that fight...
