Jeff Lacy's face was in a much worse state than Pavlik's after Hopkins beat him. Lacy was bleeding after the first round.

I put these two beatdowns on the same kind of level, pretty much. Both elite fighters smashing one-dimensional fighters to smithereens. They were always gonna look good doing it. However, Calzaghe put in way more damage.

Calzaghe was in his prime against Lacy, Hopkins was 43 against Pavlik and was more cautious

Kessler is the best fighter from 160-168. I know it's hard for you to understand this because he's European and you've only seen about one of his fights. He dominated Andrade and Mundine who were good fighters. He looked good for the first few rounds against Calzaghe and then got outclassed by an elite fighter, no shame in that. He's a quality fighter, and anyone who can't acknowledge that is uneducated in the sport.

His punches against Hopkins were not effective and shouldn't count. Hopkins did affect Calzaghe but Calzaghe didn't affect Hopkins. You score fights on punches that do damage not this work rate bull****

that's bollocks. i suggest you re-watch the fight again, calzaghe landed hard straight lefts several times throughout the fight on top of the "slaps". If calzaghe didn't make an effort to come forward there wouldn't have been a fight, hopkins looked happy to throw **** all, hug a little bit and walk away with his pay packet.

Nice use of boxrec. Mundine was robbed against Siaca and the loss to Ottke was his first ever title shot 7 years ago. You're going to have to do better than that. You said he hadn't beat any solid names, Beyer, Mundine and Andrade were all solid when Kessler beat them. They have all got padded records and obviously aren't ever going to be great fighters but that's not the point. You're going to see Kessler starting to step up the competition after the Calzaghe loss pretty soon, probably against Jermaine Taylor.
