    Joe Calzaghe's retirement

Anyone else looking forward to this day? Not so much because I don't like Joe, just so sick of the continuous stream of teenage morons that come on here with the same bull**** over and over.

To be honest I don't want him to retire after the Jones fight.

After all his talk about coming to U.S. to prove how great he is, a retirement fight against a past prime Roy Jones is a big letdown.

Going out with a win over another young top fighter like Dawson would be much better.

calslappy aka the slapper aka the wind of five fingers, will retire soon. he has no reason to continue because he simply sucks, he wants to fight old out of prime fighters because his slapping antics only work on older fighters and bums. if the slapper retires boxing will be one less a piece of ****. all we need to do is get rid of de la hoya. al de la hoya needs to do is fight gamboa but that won't happen because gamboa will put him in the hospital.

There's nothin left for him to do anyway after Roy. Unless it's a hot fight wit a controversial ending that calls for a rematch, he might as well call it. Nothin else he could do at 175 really interests me.

It amuses me that more threads are made by people who dislike Calzaghe than by the "Calslappy nuthuggers."

Your original post implied that you dislike him.

I didn't say any of those things and I don't write like that. I'm also older than you and can speak four foreign languages.

But you are a bitter Aussie.

Nothing else to prove???? Ever heard of Chad Dawson? If you think theres nothing for Calzaghe to prove you are a blind homer. Joe needs to fight a young prime fighter. Taylor, Dawson, or dare I even say Pavlik. They might not be the big money fights but did Robinson only fight the huge names to cement his legacy? Joe's legacy as it is, has been built around guys that have no name and now as he leaves the sport he wants to make it up by fighting a 43 year old and a 39 year old guy. His resume lacks a prime fighter.

If it is really necessary I can go and dig up posts where I have defended him. I have absolutely nothing against him or the Calzaghe fans who know the sport. It just seems like Joe, more than any other fighter, attracts these guys who have literally watched like a few fights and think they can come in here and argue with us.
