im sure iv heard of fighters buying their way outof a contract and most sortsmen do often have a get out clause. i dont know if it exists in kess's contract if it does he probably would have exercised it by now, so heprobably doesn't you're right.

Politics is exactly it. There are too many people posting in here that have no clue as to the complexities of making fights happen. I truly believe Kessler wants the big fights, and the fight he wants the most is a Calzaghe rematch (which I don't think he can win).

He won't get any big fights if the WBA keeps throwing these random mandatory challengers with no name at him. He will be another Sven Okkte or Zsolt Erdie. A good fighter that makes wrong career decisions.

That is the catch22 of being a champion. If you want to fight the best, you need to bring something to the table they want. If you want to keep your title until that happens, you have to defend the title against whoever the sanctioning body puts in front of you.

Kessler is not making the career decisions alone. Palle, WBA, and the guys he'd like to fight are making a lot of decisions for him, as is the plight of all fighters. Kessler can piss and moan (like you) about what he wants, but he doesn't get to decide, and neither do you.
