Does anyone else think Kessler is wasting his career?

This is a joke of a fight in my opinion.
Agreed. He needs to start fighting people with a pulse, because right now he is just a complete waste of talent. He should drop that ridiculous belt that he has now, and go after someone credible because its the belt that's holding him from getting the big fights. The organizations just gives fighters title opportunities when the pay their sanctioning fee. That's it. He needs to go after Bute and definitely Froach, two fights that i can't see him losing.

If he doesn't have a belt, what does he have that would make those guys want to fight them? You say you can't see him losing against him. Well, I'm sure they know they're taking a big risk fighting him. Why would they fight a guy they don't have to fight, if there's nothing (like a world title) to gain?

Kessler needs a title to attract the big fights.

            Didn't Froch call him out??

People like Dawson, Hopkins, Johnson, Tarver etc. are all at 175, so Kessler's belt doesn't matter to them.

Guys like Bute, the winner of Froch/Pascal and Inkin may have no intention to unify. The sad thing is that most boxers are content to win a world title and defend it for as long as they can.

The only way the belt might help him is for a potential fight with Taylor, but JT seems to be going the WBC route anyway.

Its something called recognition, and i don't mean it in a rude way. Kessler is seen by many as the best super middleweight in the world going right now, so a win over him would leave no doubts that they are the best. There are many fighters out there that don't care about his belt, and would fight him any time. He is the man to beat.

                    Glenn Johnson would fight anyone.

Roy Jones was considering a fight with Kessler at one point, according to an article posted on here.

Carl Froach, Edison Miranda, Author Abraham and plenty others. Belts don't mean everything. These fighters seek recognition.
