Yeah I see what all of you guys are saying. But the ref is not gonna stop a guy in the last thirty seconds who was winning the rest of the fight. We definatley saw hometown bias from a ****ty ref, but he did get up enough on his own feet to not get waved off.

Title fights are 36 minutes. If Bute wants to fight less than that, he can relinquish his belt and go back to fighting 10 rounders. Until then, the last 30 seconds is part of the fight and if he is getting beaten and can no longer support or defend himself, the ref is obligated to call it for the fighter's safety.

If it was Andrade stumbling around the ring in the last 30 seconds, the ref would've had no problem waving it off. What happens in the first 35:30 shouldn't affect what happens in the last 00:30. It was a ****ty ref and he made the wrong call. End of story.

EDIT: So is it ok not to call a touchdown in the last 30 seconds of a football game? Or give a basketball player the go-ahead free throw attempt if he is fouled going up for the game winning shot as the clock winds down? Because that is essentially what the ref did here.

WIth any other ref... Andrade is the champ... It is just how it is....

And it wasn't like the ref was Steve Smoger who allows fights to go on longer than average. (okay by me)

Even when the ref broke them up the final time he was practically in the middle of both of them up until the knockdown/out.




Think about it, if that fight was close and Andrade was the one wobbling you know for a fact that the ref would have stopped it. No question.
