How is Mosley going to hurt Margarito when he couldn't even hurt Cotto? Are you saying that an old Mosley hits Harder than Cintron Cotto or P Williams? , ,maybe 2 years ago ? yes but now I don't think so .How is he going to end up in trouble how is Margarito going to back down from a slugfest? when the man has been doing it his whole life and loves to go toe to toe.

while margarito has the edge, he should not get overconfident. the aging man can still punch... and can move to his left and right... with ease.

mosley is a bit quicker than margarito but i know margarito knew how to handle it.

i still pick margarito to win.

his last fight is what makes me think he can win, he stuck to his gameplan. he was trying to time him to get his punches off, and sticking to a game plan is what cotto failed to do.

He looked bad in his last fight. He had flashes of the old Mosley but overall he looked tired and old. His combination punching was not there, and he started to look discouraged at times throughout. When he had the chance during the sixth and seventh rounds to take over the fight completely and KO Mayorga then he backed right off and let him back into the fight. He was lucky to have gotten the KO.

Right now, he doesn't have what it takes to beat Marg I think. He gets discourages too easily if he can't hurt someone or follow his game plan properly and I don't think he has the stamina anymore to be able to keep up the boxing game needed to beat him.

It's slightly possible but I really wouldn't put any money on him winning. Maybe four or so years ago. Hell, maybe even two years ago he could have taken him, but as it stands today, I don't think he can keep up the type of fight needed to beat Marg. He just too old, doesn't have the legs or his great combination punching anymore. The other big thing is he now gets hit a lot more than he ever did. Taking that for a whole fight against Marg would be hard. I don't think Marg would KO him but he would still win and maybe even hurt Mosley more than most, apart from Forrest, have. Even Mayorga was tagging him too much for my liking and Mayorga, at this stage, is not a good fighter or at least not an elite/top of the division fighter like Marg is. Bad fight for Mosley. I'd like to see him retire to be honest.

Look Mosley definitely hits harder than Cotto comparing one punch power and Margarito in every fight takes a lot of punches and nothing will change if these two fight. If Margarito tries to slug it out with Mosley I think he will be the one ending up in big trouble or at least having to change his come forward at any costs game plan. I think once Margarito feels Mosley's power and it will be noticeable he will be far less inclined to pressure and you will see Shane get very aggressive. Two other things that will be a factor in this fight will be Mosley's body punching and his strength on the inside. He is not scared to wrestle and grapple and even did so effectively with Mayorga who was 170 fight night and strong as hell. I just hope Mosley doesnt let low HBO money get in the way of this fight happening cause this is his best maybe last shot at a title and setting him up for one more big money fight.

Great post, But I have to disagree in punches Harder than Cotto , I may be right or wrong but I think still Cotto has the slight edge on hitting harder, just based on the fact that Mosley didn't really Rock Cotto too much, I hope this fight gets done , Cotto is still a great Champion in my eyes no matter what hes still great.
