    they didn't have to be able to take a punch or anything else, but what fighter had the flat out best offense ever?

      Depends on what you want in an offense. If you want crisp, clean combinations, or power punches in bunches, etc....

        Probably the best offense, at least in recent years, was Tyson's. As much as I dislike the guy (******ed, heartless, scumbag), you have to give him his due for it. His offensive game was nearly perfect. He was adept at slipping inside lightning-quick without getting caught, and unloading a flurry of hard, perfectly targeted punches before his opponents could react.

        If he hadn't been such a frigging nutcase that did his best to ruin the sport, I'd have been a fan.

          IMO, in his day, there was nobody more exciting to watch offensively than Mike Tyson.

                  Middleweight Robinson threw some nasty combos, I'd imagine that in his prime at welterweight he was a complete offensive nightmare.
