lol who the **** was JMM at the time to be avoided when hamed fought mab? sure he had a good record defeating bums but lost to his first ever attempt at a belt just a year before. mab has been defending his belts for several yrs already when hamed fought him dumb****.

And Marquez was Hamed's mandatory for over a year, the WBO allowed Hamed to do pretty much anything he wanted though.

mab was the more marketable fight at that time than jmm, even higher on the p4p list. if you really think hamed avoided jmm over mab then you're hopeless. lol at the newbie comment, i'll let that pass. been watching boxing since the last fights of ali.

Hamed fighting Marquez had nothing to do with Barrera, End of story.

You guys act like Hamed HAD to choose between Barrera and Marquez. He didn't. Both were around for a while and still are. Hamed just avoided Marquez like the plague (as Silencers pointed out) then got his ass kicked by Barrera. End of story. Funny, he didn't have any problems with Billy Hardy, Paul Ingle and the rest of his other WBO mandatories.

Hamed would have been the naturally bigger guy, he hit harder with one punch and he was about as fast as Pacquiao, would be a close fight though, Pacquiao could knock Hamed down a few times because Hamed used to like to lean back when his opponents rushed forward and normally got knocked down because of this, hurt or not. Hamed could certainly knock Pacquiao down a few times as well, Hamed has more of a chance knocking out Pacquiao than the other way round IMO.
