did you know that all of the videotapes that fighters and fans can watch of SRR were all from during a point of SRR's career when he was past his prime. So everyone that marvels at his skill and athleticsm watched a past his prime SRR. The only footage we got from his Prime are still fotos. Now thats nuts.

Just because they say he was the greatest doesn't automatically get him elected. Most of the guys who were saying he was the greatest including Ali, Jones and Hopkins would have beat him. He was great for his time and no doubt , he was special. But in terms of all time greatness, he was not all that impressive in my opinion. (And yes, I've seen him fight a whole lot. Wins over Lamotta were what they were, but Jake was just a yester-year Arturo Gatti and not much more)

skillwise, he isn't, although he was ahead of his time, i fell fighters like floyd mayweather jr, ali, pernell whitaker, and floyd paterson to name a few all had better skills than him, especially ali and mayweather jr. resume wise, he is the greatest ever imo, no doubt. he was a speciall fighter in his time and had a heart of a lion, no doubt. he fought everybody. skillwise, he wasn't the greatest but very good.
