With more fighters the standard does not go up. Otherwise no one would be boxing. Because you needed minimal training and just a but of power and heart to succeed in them days its not hard to see why they had more fights. They took the glamour out of the sport and corrupted it.

Real greats name one fighter other than the great one who has held titles at 5 different weight classes in under ten years. Do it right now. Its never been done before. He has won the major belt in each division the wbc. Never ducked anyone.

Henry Armstrong won three undisputed world titles in the space of a year, at a time when there were only eight divisions and one champ in each. Name one division Floyd has been undisputed in. You can't, because there are four belts around now, and Floyd has held nothing but a WBC strap throughout. So to put it another way, he has only held 25% of the belts available to him in any division, including super and junior divisions which weren't around in Armstrong's time. For whatever reason, he hasn't been fighting the other titlists.

If you don't know anything about boxing prior to 1999 then why even bother talking about it? Floyd's record and resume is way way way short of those guys above. He ain't even in the same ball park.

Floyd is smart. He has played safe and is rich, good looking and healthy with great family. He sacrificed his historical standing for a good life. I can't criticise him for that. Look at the guys who couldn't let go.

But that is why he is a great fighter but will never be even close to the greatest. It was his choice.

Floyd is dope. I wouldn't go too far as saying that he's better than Robinsons, Leonards, or Ali.

I think Mayweather's the greatest of THIS time. I don't know of all time.
