I agree, I felt like he was going down but at the same time I couldnt believe how easily he was hitting Margarito and not to mention how hard he was hitting Margarito, I do believe Cotto is capable of beating Margarito he simply ran out of gas and slowed down enough for Marg. to catch him. It was similar to De la Hoya Vs. Trinidad ( I know we all felt if Hoya didnt run or should I say ridiculously run , he would have got knocked out) IMAGINE IF COTTO DID WHAT DE LA HOYA DID IN THE LAST FOUR ROUNDS. WOULD COTTO HAVE DESERVED THE WIN? THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WARRIOR AND A HOYA.

cotto's punches weren't as damaging! He doesn't have alot of power, actually i don't think i've seen a one punch knock out by cotto. Also keep in mind the punches cotto was landing were short punches ment to keep margarito off not anything punishing alot of them were jabs. It will be the same fight in the rematch! Margarito will be the same fighter and it will be the same match up with same advantages and the same outcome. When was the last time you seen cotto out of shape in a fight? NEVER!!!! he is always in top shape....do you think cotto just decided to not train for the biggest fight of his career?? Cotto didn't gas, cotto was broken down and broken! I am a Cotto fan, but I dont think he would even going to make it even if he continued the last 2 rounds....he was getting punished, Marg might not be quick, but that constant pressure and that ****ing chin is what makes him margarito....there is ways, he is beatable, and if Cotto and his crew get their **** together they can pull it, believe me....

cotto would have to hit and run even more than he did in the first fight. That's never been cotto's style and it people would discredit his win saying all he did was run cause he knew what happened the first fight.

Also include the broken nose that Cotto got in the second round by a head-butt. Try breathing through your nose when it's broken. I am sure the rematch will be a different story because Cotto knows what he did wrong and he will hit the body more(which he didn't do) and will stay off the ropes. I think this will become a trilogy once Cotto wins #2.

Already discussed punch stat. As for short vs. long punch. Look at Tyson video, Cotto,Hagler,(Robbie Pedens knockout of Nate Cambell..lol funny one)Sugar Ray Robinson,Foreman , Duran. Azumah Nelson. Everyone knows that the most vicious knockouts are the ones u dont see coming(thats why when they wake up they ask "what kind of punch was it") hence a short punch is harder to see coming, therefore u have less time to brace or move with the punch. Long punch you brace for or move with it because u are more likely to see it coming IE Mayorga. But opinions may vary.
