The fact that he dominated Pavlik tells me only one thing: Hopkins knows the fight game, and he knows it inside out.

He knew full well that he couldn't beat Taylor or Joe by adopting the same style he did against Pavlik, that's why he was on the defensive all night in both fights.

Pavlik fought the wrong guy, Hopkins loves fighting one dimensional fighters, they make him look better than he is at his advanced age (not to take any credit away from him, he did a number on Pavlik, something not even Taylor could do)

The fact remains, if Hopkins had that performance left in him, why didn't he produce it against Joe? Maybe it's because he understands a lot more about boxing and styles than you do...

I just think that Taylor and Calzaghe stylistically presented a harder match-up for Hopkins.

I'll give u the taylor one Larry well the first fight that is
the second Taylor just outworked him and the fight with Joe Hop lost for sure..

The reason why he didnt win the Joe fight was Joe didnt allow him enough time to find his rhythm to be able to do what he did to Pav..

I wonder what Beeps thinks about the fights every week? Maybe he just spends his time looking at their packets, I don't know.

I don't understand how people argue "Cazaghe never touched Hopkins" then actually think Taylor beat Hopkins the first time. Calzaghe landed WAY more punches then Taylor did the first time, even though he barely landed.
