I'll flame both Joe and Jones to pieces endlessly if they're in a position to fight Hop after the 8th and they don't. I don't care what the money issues are, telling someone you won't fight them when you've got no bigger fight on deck is ***** made.

Hopkins has been wanting a rematch for 15 years now. I can see some get caught up in the buffoonery of Roy Jones and believe the 60/40 hype. Some believe its Hopkins business deals that are the cause, which they couldnt be any more wrong.

The same unrealistic Hopkins who somehow can seal the deal with fighters like Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya, Jermain Taylor, Antonio Tarver, Winky Wright, Joe Calzaghe and Kelly Pavlik.

During the same time Roy Jones has been fighting the likes of Derrick Harmon, Julio Cesar Gonzalez, Glen Kelly, Clinton Woods, Prince Badi Ajamu, Anthony Hanshaw. Being knocked out cold by Glen Johnson. Also after being Knocked cold by Taver, and having no choice but to give him a rematch and lose.

I think its clear who wanted the fight and who didnt.

it is clear... when hopkins said he would send roy a contract last year for a 50/50 deal... and it said.. after gbp takes 25%, then they would split it... giving roy about 30%.... yeah.. its clear who wanted to make the fight.

Neither one of them can retire without facing Hop and not get **** as far as I'm concerned. Cal is cradling his "0" and Roy acting like his legacy still doesn't need a couple of extra points. Money better no be the only reason this fight doesn't happen. Roy's gotta loosen the grip on the ego. He ain't got a choice. Call Hops bluff, see if he still fights. Even at 70/30 he won't fight Roy if he really thinks he won't win.

i was on btalk.com last january... if u have an account there u can go into there archives...

bernard came out with an interview praising roy, and saying he would love to fight roy, hes a legend... and he would wanna do a 50/50 fight... roy quickly reponded back to btalk.com, roy was excited and surprised at everything nardsaid... and complimented bernard back and told g leon to have bernard send him the contract... roy quickly called back after receiving the contract and said... u know what the contract says? after gold boy takes 25% of the purse.. then we split it... he was upset
