i do. and i think its pretty unquestionable now. How many times has he proved critics wrong? lets be 100% here, hes 43 yrs. old...going into the fight against pavlik, most thought hopkins was going to lose.(even i did)hes shown some signs of slipping over the last two years. but he not only beats the p4p pavlik who is 17 years his junior, he dominates him for 12 rounds with ease. Thats not normal, thats the work of a special fighter. Not many fighters are doing stuff like that at 43. I know some have(Foreman, Archie Moore) etc. but its rare.

roy beat hop because roy is better.

roy is superior in almost every category except aging and chin.

prime roy on a bad day is superior to a prime hopkins on his best.

      fact.

Tarver was not a small guy and he was the champ when b-hop schooled him, so we can say hopkins is an atg great for fighting against solid oppostion at a few different weight classes.

but b-hop detractors use the rocky excuse to negate that one. lol. theres always something. I knew the Tarver win, people would have to find something to negate the glory of it. It goes against their ideas of Hopkins...

                it's true , precise.

hopkins aged well and he's a great fighter and all and you can even argue that bernard has a better resume than roy but as far as natural skills and ability goes roy is the superior fighter.

people have rewrote history and made it seem like the roy-hop fight was closer than it was. it was no blowout but roy clearly , decisively beat hopkins in my eyes.

the difference between bernard and roy? the same time bernard beat tito , roy was fighting for a heavyweight title.

you don't think roy can beat all the so called great fighters bernard beat at 160? bernard would be hardpressed to beat some of the guys on roy's resume. fact.

I agree that Roy was superior in ability and talent.

By the way i have never seen anyone say the hopkins - jones fight was close. Everyone has pretty much the same opinion on the fight. Jones didn't dominate but he was the clear winner.

To be honest though neither fighter was in their prime at that stage , Both fighters in their prime would have been a great competitive fight.

I feel Jones and Hopkins could beat any fighter on each others resumes.

i've seen it. i think it's guys that listen to the hbo commentary on roy-bernard 2 fight. (hbo was trying to sell a rematch to the public after bernard became a big star. they tried to say the bernard-roy fight was close and people who never saw the fight but saw that hbo commentary a few years back bought into it)

i agree that hopkins is better skilled than most of roy's opponents (except toney i think) but some of roy's opponents were pretty big. i don't know how that'd affect bernard. beating milk dud is one thing but some of the bigger guys might give him trouble. bernard while a big middleweight is a natural middleweight to me. his body is not really a 175 lber. though that's where his first fight was.

I agree that Hopkins is a natural middleweight but he is a strong light heavyweight.
