How do you beat Hopkins?

Ive been watching some of his fight lately...i figured out that to beat hopkins, other than have good footwork (cut the ring) and be able to move your head to slip his jabs, you need to be able to give him HOOKS in bounces, body and head...thats why in my opinion he lost to Taylor (close, and Taylor is less skilled than Hopkins, but all he does is circular punches) thats why his fight with Winky was closer (he can hook from his shell, not just jab), why he lost to Roy (i know, Bhop was green but still...). Thats why a left hooker like Trinidad lost soundly...he goes for the homerun 1 punch. Calzaghe someway with his style was effective as well because with his flurries he someway traps you inside with lateral punches (not really power hooks but same confusing effect on Bernard.
I think someone like Dawson could have a chance if very focused, but still Bhop could come in with something else.

Be first and show as much or more lateral movement as he did against Pavlik. Overwhelm him with combinations, but step back immediately to avoid being countered. Always be flanking to the left as well to avoid his right hand and when he clinches, weigh yourself down on his body. if you can keep this up for at least 9 rounds, should win.

He lost to Roy because, well, they all did at that time…too much athleticism, too much speed

He lost to Taylor because of Jermain’s jab…very underrated jab…one of the best in the game IMO and it was constant whenever Hopkins decided pace himself…

He didn’t lose to Calzaghe…that was a robbery…im kidding…he lost that because where Jermain would flick that jab, Joe would flurry…he got outworked
