If you watch his matches where he gets hurt, instead of freaking like you would expect he would give up and lose. That is where Dempsey excelled, he did not care if he got hurt. When someone hurt him he freaked out and went nuts on them and tended to win with that. He was known to win fights completely blacked out with no memory. Tyson said most of the Hollyfield 1 fight was like that for him after the headbutt. I think that concussion ruined his promising career. At least that is my opinion.

Finally!! A Jack Dempsey's enthusist. Yup. That's why they called him the
"Manessa Mauler" He would maul you like a wolverine.

I remember seeing him get dropped by 1 punch in several fights, I would have to search through them to find the occurrences. They weren't his old fights but not his earliest either. What he would do is be slipping to the side each time, sort of turning away, and get caught right square in the jaw with a sort of looping cross and drop right to the mat.

After that concussion from Evander I noticed Tyson not keeping his left hand back far enough to protect his jaw when turning down and to the side. Left him very open.

It was his fight against Lennox Lewis.

Here is a short clip. You barely beat me to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD9Cf_dAVdg

I'm sure I saw it at least one more time. So he was old there, I can see that happening. I don't know, every time I saw him get knocked out, he took it like a *****. At least in his prime fights, it was like he had no real experience with it and did not know what to do or how to react.

He was also knocked down against Holyfield.

Teddy Atlas who used to train Tyson and now hates him said that while Tyson had a great chin, he never knew how to deal with punishment.

Well no.When he was knocked down and out it was an accumulation of punches. His chin was not the problem.
The systematic beatdown that Lewis was probably the worst I've seen in a heavyweight fight.

I saw a BBC documentary on him.I saw him say that he didn't like boxing and that it was just a job to him.He also said that boxing to him was just like fighting in the gutter and passersby throwing pennies at you.
