    Hopkins is 43 years old....

But what he is not is the greatest fighter of all time.

He beat Tarver. Then goes to a close fight with Winky. Then gets beat by Calzaghe some say a close fight. Now he beat Pavlik. I see a trend of fighitng smaller men because he is older, so then why you hate on Delahoya for fighting Pac, Delahoya is past his prime and old.

I think its great that a 43 beat these young guys. I'll point to Hopkins that age is but a number. But when i look carefully and start judging him, realiticly he's been fighting smaller men. This is a man that was a true light heavyweight fighting smaller men. Still a great feat. but when i judge from a realistic point of view i ask why the hype? He just lost to Calzaghe not to long ago, and some felt he lost to Winky.

What Hopkins needs to do is fight Chad Dawson, a man his size, when and if he beat him then he shuts me up as he beat the best light heavyweight. Yes, you can say it was Hopkins since he beat Tarver but then it'd have to be Calzaghe since he beat Hopkins.

How is he a true light heavyweight fighter?? He fought his whole career at 160 fool. A few fighst when he is old and can't make weight doesn't mean he is a 175 fighter.

Do you know how old 43 year old is?? 7 years away from 50, that makes his feat sound even better.

Hopkins is naturally a middle-weight. He went up in weight and kicked the **** out of tarver who was the bigger guy. I'm sick of these weight excuses.

Oscar is 35yrs old. I guess that is old to the author of this thread. Lets also not forget that Hopkins had lost 3 of his last 5 fights prior to last Saturday. The facts are that Hopkins Oscar, Pacman, & even Pavlik to a certain extent are 4 great fighters of this era. Bernard deserves props for his performance last Saturday & Oscar will deserve props if he can beat Manny in December. PERIOD

Your problem is you see Hopkins as your ordinary old man. I see him as a fighter that is old and gave these young fighters heavy problems. He probably never stoped training and has been fighting regularly.

Hopkins got ran out of middleweight by Jermain Taylor! Don't lie to the people, there so gullable they'll belive you.

              Hopkins - Taylor
              Hopkins - Calzaghe

Both could and should have gone Hopkins way

B-Hop doesn't need to do anything to get anyonez respect. He has done enough. He was the underdog against Tarver, Tito and Pavlik...give the man credit.
