Lockett was an ATG that had proven himself many times over...he was carrying Pavlik for most of that fight...still hurts me to think that the legend has hung up the gloves

How can you feel sorry for him he got whooped **** happens you cant feel bad for every fighter who gets his ass whooped like that. He probably bought into his own hype and didnt train like he should have for the fight and its nobodys fault but his own that he lost.. So no deffinatley dont feel sorry for Pavlik maybe this opened his eyes and he wont get whooped again.

i feel sorry for pavlik but at least he conducted himself in a professional manner. after losing the first half of the fight he didn't resort to swinging his arms in a windmill fashion to attempt to fool judges and make the fight awful to watch.

To the one who started this thread, I felt exactly the same...

The look on Pavilk's face after the twelfth round just said it all.

I saw the interview video of Pavlik in the locker room here on boxing scene, I think he was about to cry before he answered his first question, right?

He shouldn't take it that badly. I understand he was probably in a huge state of disbelief, but he lost to an all time great, got a huge payday and still has his belts. This loss serves as a boost to his hunger while still allowing to maintain those belts that's made him a champion in the first place...
