What a sad bunch of whiners.
I don't much like Calzaghe but to belittle his career from your lofty achievements is just pathetic.
      Who has he avoided?
He certainly isn't an all time great but then despite recent boastful soundbites he hasn't claimed to be.
He's a long time champion who is undefeated.
He's taken on manditories. He's taken on other champions, young and old. He cherry picked an old champion to take on at a heavier weight but then look at Hopkins slavering to take on Maskaev. Look at Floyd taking on DLH. It happens.
      He isn't great.
He's better than anyone he's faced though and that counts for something.

      I still think he's a twat though.

***** whiners make Hulk angry! Grararrrrrr!

Then why did he agree to the fight in the first place and then pull out at the last moment in a silly way?

Who did Hopkins go on to fight after that? Howard Eastman was it?

Calzaghe had much more power back then.

Screw Calzaghe, He will always be known as a fraud. His toughest opponent was a 43 year old Hopkins and he barley squeked by. Plus he got dropped. I don't care how great Hopkins looked against Pavlik. He is still an old ****. Calzaghe sucks. Hopkins has 10x the resume.

What do you expect, most of J.Cal wins were over in the U.K., then he finally touched based in the U.S. and fought fighters who were not even in their prime. Bhop gave Calz a run and that win for Cal wasnt an easy one some would say was controversal. Now J.Cal is fighting RJJ who isnt the same RJJ that we all use to know, a benefit for J.Cal. If he wins he can say he beat U.S's BEST, but really took an easier route fighting older HOF's...

You're actually completely wrong. You may see him as a "fraud" but most people in the world don't. Especially casual fans who don't get deep into the politics of boxing, of which there are many.

Whether you like it or not, Joe will be seen as great by the majority of the people. Your rants on here won't change anyone's opinions, I guarantee this, so why bother whining?

PS: Don't forget to count the years it takes before you see another undefeated fighter retire with 46 or so fights under his belt. Why do people remember Marciano? I mean the general public...

I bet that took maybe 2 seconds to think over.

                      Good luck!
