    EDIT: Sorry about triple posting.
If you're right I'll eat my words.

I'm not even saying the guy sucks, I'm just saying that people are too easily addicted to the power.

I actually hope he's the real deal, it would be good for the division. And everyone loves a guy who has one-punch KO power who is also talented enough to beat top opposition.

It was when Froch turned pro when my older brother (a long-time boxing fan) made me aware of him. We've been keeping an eye on him ever since. I always thought there was something unusual and special about Froch, plus he's a big bastard with tons of power and a solid chin.

IMO, taylor beat pavlik in the rematch by 2 points, however controversial that may sound. I was on here claimimng robbery after the fight. LOL. I also think Pavlik got very lucky in the first fight when Taylor gassed out in the middle rounds. Taylor is a good fighter as far as I'm concerned. He has flaws, but some things he does are just beautiful. Good jab, great speed, too, just doesn't throw enough and looks a little scared. if he would work on stamina and letting his hands go he'd be truly among the elites.
Like I said, there is at least one thing special about him - his power. And there's no secret as to where it comes from; look at the shoulders on this guy (no ****):

See the third pic? Yeah, that's about where he keeps his hands when fighting.

Fine if you're Roy Jones and have the speed and vision to dodge punches, but Froch is no Roy Jones. Therein lies the doubts many have about him.

Oh no. Jermain mite have a field day against that stance. Roy only kept his hands that low when he was way better and faster than his opponent.

Hmm i didnt say I had a big issue with it. Ive no problem with Taylor taking a tune up. Hopefully he stays true and fights Froch afterwards.

"He'll KO so and so." That's their answer for everything. Because they know their guy isn't the fastest, isn't the best defensive fighter, and really has nothing else going for him except his power. At least not that he's shown us so far.

His biggest accomplishment to date is stopping a shot Robin Reid. Jeff Lacy did the same thing a few years ago. What's it mean? Not much.
I dont get how you can accept Taylor avoiding him and then ask who he's fought at the same time.

I didn't say he hasn't fought anyone, I actually gave his most meaningful win, and you filled in the blank the way you chose.

And you mean to tell me that there's not a level of fighter between Reid and Taylor that he should have fought by now? I argue there is, and his first fight at that level will be with Pascal in December. I expect Froch to do well in the fight, but until we see it we won't know for sure. And before you give me the "it's not his fault he hasn't fought anyone, Inkin backed out on him twice and [insert names] ducked him" line, I don't care whose fault it is. But it is what it is - reality, in otherwords. It's not Taylor's fault, though, and his career is not so bad yet that he should take a pay cut to take on a potentially riskier fighter.

Ummm....... but thats also the reality of it. You cant fight people if they dont sign a contract. There is a list of names who have been offered or backed out of fighting Froch.
