I understand Jacko and Kelly have great chemistry but that can only take you so far.
This is what I said last night when all the fanboys were going nuts over BHop and bashing on Kelly.

Kelly needs a new trainer. Loew has done all he could for him but its time for someone who can bring something new to the table.

actually, i read the posts bro...you talked about Loew not being able to develop Pavlik, another poster said he says the same **** in fights, another referenced graham and hatton...

my only point is: its 1 loss fellow fight fan...not even the biggest Hopkins supporter could have imagined that old fart to fight like that nor think that he had that in him...

i dont think there's too many MWs or SMWs that can duplicate that kind of craftiness last nite...HBO mentioned Abraham and as much i respect that tough, balding sunovabitch, he isnt Hopkins

the way Hopkins schooled Pavlik last nite, you coulda had eddie futch, angelo dundee, nacho beristain or any other great trainer and it wouldnt have done squat...it was the Executioner's nite and that's pretty much there is to it...you guys are harsh
He doesn't necessarily have to drop Loew, but he needs to add another element to his corner. He needs somebody who can teach him things that Loew doesn't know, and give him advice during the fight other than "double the jab".

Naw...B-Hop took Pavlik to school because he's an elite fighter.
Jack Loew and Pavlik have gone through good/great fighters, but elite is a different story. They've been through the tough rounds.

If you want to compete at a higher level, ya gotta have the tools to do it.

If Dundee was in that corner, he'd probably give more sound advice than "Double that F***kin jab".

Pavlik's dope. B-hop's been fighting since the 90's. Ya gotta respect that.

well, unless there's a bunch of Bernard Hopkinses at MW waiting for Pavlik, then yea, change it up...but its just my opinion that NOONE coulda beat that version of 'Nard last nite...nor could anyone in that weight class be able to duplicate that...

i can see him adding an 'advisor' to help him add to his game rather than starting over at this stage in his career...but to do an overhaul would be overkill imo

Pavlik should get B-Hop to train him.

I think they should at least bring someone in to take over main training duties and to work the corner, Loew was very unimpressive in the corner, he didn't tell Pavlik much in the corner besides to double jab and work, then after that didn't work, he just became emotional support.

Although, in Loew' defense, Pavlik wasn't working the double jab like he should have been, and he was timid with the right hand. But I definitely think Jack Loew has taken Kelly Pavlik as far as he can (and really, there's no shame in cultivating a popular, dynamic middleweight champion from scratch).
