    Pavlik just another Sam Peter?

Is Pavlik just another Sam Peter? Over hyped 1 dimensional bum with a knockout record padded on KO'ing 2nd rate and 3rd rate bums like Miranda and completely exposed and destroyed when he faces someone technical and good like when Vitali exposed and retired Peter?

Or is he more like a Lacy? Or are they all mostly the same?

Nothing against Powder, I like the kid on a personal level but in terms of skills: he has none.

I think he's the next Sam Peter and after he goes back down and Abraham destroys him for a second time, it may be high time that Pavlik quits the sport.

nah i think that's way too harsh

he does have some skills although is a bit 1 dimensional, and is good physically and i would have said mentally before the Hopkins fight too

Peter's best wins came against a fat old middleweight and an inactive, 39 year old Maskaev.

Pavlik deserves a little more respect.

Um and Pavlik's best win came over a Jermain Taylor that had him almost completely knocked out and who arguably lost the 2nd fight to Taylor and Miranda a no skilled brawler that was beaten by a guy with a broken jaw then brutally KO'd by him what's your point

Even though he was getting his a$$ handed to him last night, I didn't see him wanting to quit, so no. A 26 year old, once beaten, that currently holds two world titles, quit the sport? Put down the crack pipe son.

Taylor and Miranda were both more highly ranked than Maskaev and Toney.

What's the big deal then if Hopkins only beat a club fighter? This doesn't prove he is great at all.

Toney was greater than Miranda and Taylor about 15 years and 70 lbs ago.
