Nah, Hopkins is 1 notch down RJ, PBF and Pea.
Did Hopkins just supplant Mayweather, Jr as "best of his era"?

When you're talking about an ATG's career you must focus on the losses as much as you focus on the wins. Both totals play a key role in determining exactly how good a fighter was.
Mayweather never lost, that's a fact. But he also never fought a true Welterweight, and that's a fact. At 147lbs he fought Hatton, a natural 140lbs guy. And he fought Oscar at 154lbs. Best wins : G. Hernandez, C Hernandez, Castillo (twice), Corrales, Hatton and Oscar.
Bernard lost his first pro fight (no harm done there IMO), lost to Roy Jones Jr (no shame in that either), dropped 2 very close, hotly disputed decisions to Taylor, and dropped a hotly disputed SD to Calzaghe. Best wins : Johnson, Trinidad, De La Hoya, Tarver, Wright, and Pavlik.
Roy lost to Griffin by a DQ, Tarver by knockout, Johnson by knockout, and Tarver by decision. Best wins : Hopkins, Toney, McCallum, Hill, Tarver, and Trinidad.
This is about as close as close can get, and anybody you decided on really is just your own personal opinion. I think it's literally that close that it's impossible to argue which one was better.
It's preference.Comment

Hopkins has 2x the resume of Jones and Floyd. Even though he lost some of those fights he never really got beat. Just out pointed slightly and that's debatable.Comment
